There have been elections where the issues are murky, the decisions difficult, and the sides unclear. There have been elections where the ranks of Democrats and Republicans have so overlapped in their positions that you had to choose carefully among your options. This is not one of those elections.
This is, quite easily, the simplest election ever. The agendas are laid out. Nothing hidden. No assembly required. And they could not be more clear.
If you want a higher minimum wage, health care to continue as it is, and Congress to get on with passing laws … vote Democrat.
If you want a lower minimum wage, health care removed from millions, and a focus on “scandals” that have already been reviewed a thousand times … vote Republican.
Is that too complicated? Try this:
Lower minimum wage = Republican
That should be all you need.
Forget about personalities. You don’t have to live with these people. Your congressperson is not your parent, your spouse, or your partner. They’re just someone who wants you to give them a job. So give that job to the person who is willing to work for you, not the one who has the coolest hair or the the best TV smile.
Really. Making a choice between higher wages and lower wages for tens of millions of Americans … it really shouldn’t be that hard. You just have to vote.
